"Chiunque non legga Cortazar è condannato", diceva Pablo Neruda... Ed è probabilmente destinato a non capire questo manuale, aggiungo io.
Dopo aver letto i Manuali di istruzioni di Cortazar, istruzioni per piangere, per cantare, per avere paura, per ammazzare le formiche a Roma, per salire le scale o per caricare l'orologio, sembra che neppure il mondo possa più girare, senza delle precise istruzioni per girare su se stessi.

Tra l'altro che l'esigenza delle istruzioni-pronte-all'uso caratterzzi i più disparati livelli culturali è dimostrato dalle "pregiatissime" copertine (almeno considerando i costi) delle riviste glamour: come far godere lei in 6 minuti (al massimo); come far godere lui in 6 minuti (al minimo); come perdere peso senza che nessuno se ne accorga; come fare sesso in automobile, in vespa in bicicletta; come usare internet senza sapere nulla di computer, come smettere di fumare senza mai aver iniziato e così via..

Per questo qualche tempo fa ho iniziato a pensare che mi sarebbe piaciuto contribuire al proliferare della distribuzione di nozioni spicciole di cui molti pensano di poter fare a meno.
Chiunque abbia letto Cortazar sa perfettamente che raramente altri potrebbero arrivare anche solo ad avvicinarsi alle sue finissime osservazioni, nonchè alla sua capacità di sintetizzare la poetica dei movimenti alla prosa della psicologia. Sentendo, tuttavia, l'implacabile esigenza di approntare un manuale per l'uso del nasone, la tipica fontanella romana, ho pensato che avrei fatto meglio ad abbandonare le parole ed iniziare ad osservare, magari da un buon punto, quale è ad esempio Piazza di Campo de' Fiori.
